We generally believe men only want thrusting inside a woman’s soft folds and grunting satisfaction.
Well men want sex but that’s definitely not all men want from relationships!
What Men want in relationships vary from individual to individual, but some common themes often emerge in healthy successful relationships.
Here are a few things men desire:
- Men desire emotional connection. They desire that feeling of being understood, appreciated, and respected. Men seek emotional intimacy and a strong bond with their partner too.
- Men feel loved and desired in relationships through physical touch, such as hugging, kissing, or simply being close.
- Men value relationships where they can be open and honest, and they they want a partner who is equally transparent.
- Men want respect. As women need to be loved, being respected is how men feel loved. Respecting their opinions, individuality, and boundaries is important in every relationship.
- Men want partners who can support their goals, interest, dreams, and ambitions. Although we view men as the stronger partner who women seek reliance from, they also seek support and encouragement from their women. Mutual encouragement and teamwork are vital for a fulfilling connection.
- Men are often misunderstood to prefer their solitude to staying with their partners. Men however want to a partner who enjoys spending time with them, sharing experiences, and having fun together, whether through common hobbies or new adventures.
- Men want to be appreciated for what they bring to the relationship. Acknowledging what their efforts whether emotional, financial and physical is important.
- Men value a sense of alignment on important life values such as family, career and lifestyle builds a long lasting connection.
